My Mom (Phoenix, AZ)
While she is awesome, my house is in suburban Phoenix and it looks like you’ve seen some good desert already. However, if you’re gonna do Arizona, do it now before it’s scorchin and you’ll also be giving the rest of the country a little time to bloom.
Must Sees:
YELLOWSTONE!
DETROIT! is over 300 years old, so it’s got much more than just the auto industry goin on. Full of great architecture and history. And some GOOD food. Photograph your heart out. Will be beautiful until November.
Random warnings:
Washington, D.C. will be hot and humid in July
Houston, TX will be miserable in August
hey andrew,im from wv but if you havent gone to pidgeon forege, tennessee i suggest you do, its great. lots of restraunts hotel and actactions. it is also the home of dolly partons dolly wood!
Bummer about the car, man. Glad you’re OK! Looks like you are near where I grew up: Newark, DE. I-95 shoots right by it. If you have a chance, go to the Deer Park Tavern at the end of Main St. and go into the “townee bar” and have a beer. Edgar Allen Poe is rumored to have visited the premises in the 1800’s… I lived in Covered Bridge Farms, which is a few miles out Route 237 from Newark, and gradumacated from Newark High in 1976. See my Facebook page for pix of the pig we let loose in the halls… http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=1584716299&ref=profile
man you missed the 8th wonder of the world, 18 mile bridge and tunnel,,up the Eastern shore of VA, then up the coast of MD and De over the Cape May Lewes Ferry from De onto the coast of NJ landing in Cape May… maybe next time.. good luck

This stunning natural wonder will leave you spellbound as you stroll the path from the Visitors Center to the Flume and back. You’ll walk among towering moss-covered granite walls, past cascading waterfalls, historic covered bridges, glacial boulders and much more.
